Leather Spectacles
Made of offcut leather structure shade for Brooks England

As Brooks only uses perfectly fine leather to make saddles, huge amount of leather offcuts are inevitably generated. To turn them into useful products, that was the goal of this project. I first made a small piece of folded leather structure, which was not too soft or strong. The leather structure with its strength is suitable for the frame of glasses. At the same time, it is flexible enough to comfortably fit human faces. Ergonomics is an important factor considered when designing eyewear.
